We have improved our highest heat electronic ignition stove with continuous heat adjustment.

For a long while, our high pressure electronic ignition stoves were made for restaurant usage where two main power settings are simple and desirable. We have long desired to offer continuous heat adjustment to our customers just like our manual high pressure stoves.

We have improved our PF13L160EI, PF13CL160EI, PF13S160EI and PF13CS160EI stoves with continuous heat adjustment.

What’s the difference between the brass colored 160 btu burner and the silver one?

Inquiry:
Hi – What’s the difference between the brass colored 160 btu burner and the silver one?
Also – I was looking at the Big Kahuna burner by Eastman Products on Amazon – it has food reviews at 65k btu and I’m wondering what the advantages are with your burner over it? Thanks

Outdoorstirfry:

Hi,  1. All our 160BTU stoves are of silver color. The brass color must be just that the color is not exact.
2. Our stove will be more powerful and more at ease at cooking. We are the one who use it daily.  Bests,

Inquiry:

Thanks for the quick response! I cook stir fry daily on a 30k camp chef burner – carbon steel woks, 14″,16″ and 22″. I’m very excited to order one of your burners! Does the pilot light really work like it shows in the video? Also, the leg extensions seem very small in diameter, are they sturdy for everyday use? Sorry for all the questions, I only want to make this purchase once and can’t seem to find many options – I totally stumbled onto your website. Do you sell many units? You’ve been around for years, correct?

I was going to buy this one from Importfood.com, but they no longer sell it! See attached. Looks similar in features to yours, but with a different burner head.

Thank you for your help in making this decision.

Outdoorstirfry:

Great that you have been cooking on your own.  Then you should know what to look for.   The importfood stove you included is almost perfect except that you might need an oven glove to cook as the flame can come toward you.  Our stove solves this problem.   We have been in business in last 14 years.   Our long legs are capable of withstanding up to 35lbs of food.    Let us know any further question.

Inquiry:

Thanks, I’ll order. I noticed you are in Oregon, I live in Portland, is it possible to pick one up and save on shipping? Also, do you ever run any special offers?

Outdoorstirfry:

Sorry, we are now in northern California.  Pick up from Portland Oregon is kind of far.   After we graduated from Oregon State University 20 years ago, me with a Ph.D. and my wife with a Master in Science degree, our day jobs have brought us across the country to Ohio, Wisconsin and then finally settling down in northern California bay area.

The only time we offer discount is when we have refurbished products.   Our price (we thought) is stiff because our products have technical content, just like Apple Computer products (we are in the same city).   However our customer support and service is superior to Apple.  We still continue to support all products out in the filed in last 14 years while Apple already drops support to their first generation iPad they produced 5 years ago.

Better off since we are a very small business for fun, our customer support is also personal.

Let us know any further question.

Inquiry:

Thank you for the explanation. Exciting to hear about your journey. I understand on price and appreciate your approach. Glad to hear about your level of support, so rare these days.

I appreciate your offer of free shipping very much and will place my order now. I’m very excited to use the burner, as I mentioned before I cook stir fry often and have always wanted to replicate restaurant style stir fry.

I will try to take a video when cooking once I’m set up! Thank you for the effort in setting up your videos.

Apologies for another email, but I’m a little confused on which unit to order. What do you recommend? I want a long leg version, with pilot light, lighting with a lighter is fine, and I would prefer a burner that has good variable flame control, but hot enough for commercial level heat cooking.

Outdoorstirfry:

It would be PF13L160, almost exactly matching what you describe.

Does your company sell a rack for EasyFlamer stove?

Customer:

The EasyFlamer EF13LFN50WG stove that you sold me works great! Does your company sell a rack for the stove with which I could use a flat fry pan on? Also, do you sell covers for the stove when they are not in use?

Outdoorstirfry:

Please see attached.   There is no need to have a rack for flat bottom pan.   The EasyFlamer stove has built in stands to support various diameter flat bottom pans.

We usually just flip the wok upside down to cover the stove when not in use.

Let us know if there is further question.

Size question: 9″ or 13″

Inquiry:

Hi,  I’m trying to figure out which burner I should get.

If I want to cook with a 14″ wok, should I get the PF13 or the PF9 burner?

If I want to cook with a 16″ wok, should I get the PF13 or the PF9 burner?

I have a family of 5 people and generally, I only plan to cook at home. I like to cook a lot of different chinese foods.

Do I need the 160k BTU or 130k BTU max output?  Thanks.

Outdoorstirfry:

Both 14” and 16” size woks would work well on our 13” stove.   We don’t recommend our 9” stove because of your family of 5.

We would also recommend our 160kBTU stove PF13xx160 as the sturdiest stove.  Bests.

Inquiry:

Thank you for your reply.

The PF13xx160 comes with or without electronic ignition — what is the advantage and disadvantage of each.

Do you really think I need the 160k BTU? I’m just a home cook.

Outdoorstirfry:

We usually prefer the manual PF13xx160 stove.  It is continuous in heat adjustment.

130kBTU stoves are good choice as well.  They are not as sturdy and robust as the PF13xx160 ones.

Inquiry:

I’m about to make this purchase, but I wanted to figure out what kind of propane tank connector I would need. I see that you told someone else that connectors are POL or ACME type.

I don’t have a propane tank now and would need to buy one. Should I have the ACME type or the POL type?

I think all new propane tanks are designed to use the ACME type, does the PF13L160 have the ACME connector?

Outdoorstirfry:

All our stoves use POL type as we sell worldwide.   For worldwide POL is still the standard.  Here in USA we use ACME as well.   All tanks in USA, as we know, have both outer threads for ACME and inner threads for POL.   Many people see the outer threads and think that the inner threads are not there.  According to our experience (we are in business for last 15 years), this is not true.

What we suggest for you – go to buy the tanks first.   We would suggest to buy two tanks, one for use another for backup.   When you go buy the tanks, you can actually feel if they have inner threads or not.   If they do not have inner threads, we are willing to custom build a PF13L160 stove with ACME connector for you.

Bests.

Inquiry:

Okay. What is a good size? Is 20 lb ok?

Outdoorstirfry:

PF13L160 only works with 20lbs propane tanks.

Propane fittings

Inquiry:

Are your burner fittings compatible with US standards since your burners are of Chinese origin.

Outdoorstirfry:

Good question.   US market typically see two types of propane connectors to tank – ACME type and POL type.    Tanks used in this country can accept both types.   We typically supply the POL type.  However if customer needs ACME, we can provide a separate quote upon inquiry.

Inquiry:

All my propane tanks have Acme connectors. Please provide the cost difference for your 13″ propane burner with an Acme connector.

Outdoorstirfry:

Please share what product you are interested such that we can provide a quote for you.

Inquiry:

13″ high pressure manual ignition propane stove: Power Flame PF 13L160

Outdoorstirfry:

For PF13L160, we will change the regulator and install an ACME type connector for you.   We can keep the same price.   You can go through the order process on our web page https://outdoorstirfry.com/?page_id=1180 and leave us a note about the ACME.   We will know what to build and ship for you.

Inquiry:

Most likely going with your product but having a scientific background I don’t buy anything without research. Please provide shipping and insurance charges to the address below. In addition,’any warranty on your product?

Outdoorstirfry:

Great!  Let us know what you find out or what else we can assist on your research.  Once click on the “Add to Cart” button for PF13L160 on https://outdoorstirfry.com/?page_id=1180, you will be presented with a paypal secure payment page where you should be able to enter your zip code for shipping estimate.  In this case it is $xx.xx and will take x~x business days once we deposit the package to fedex ground.  Processing of an order takes an average of 2~3 business days.

We replace damaged part during shipment and allow return of product within 60 days of order date as of paypal policy.   Over 60 days paypal takes their share and would not allow refund feature anymore.   Anyway we do continuous support to our products in their life, dated back 15 years ago when we started this business.   Most of the times we ship replacement parts for free as long as our budget is allowed and customer request is reasonable (usually through photo verification as one of our products).
