Do you think the legs are detachable for PF13L160?

Inquiry:

Hi I am looking to buy this PF13L160.  Do you think the legs are detachable?   Would you recommend this as a starter wok burner for a newbie?  I want to learn Chinese style cooking at home.

Outdoorstirfry:

Yes the long legs are detachable.   The stove has continuous heat, it is most suitable for newbie.  We would advise it only to be used outdoor, not indoor.

Inquiry:

what is the BTU rating for this burner?

Outdoorstirfry:

160KBTU/Hr.   Continuously adjustable between 0~160KBTU/Hr.

Questions from Australia

Inquiry:

Hi,   I am interested in purchasing the PF13CL160EI or PF13CL130EI wok burner and have a few questions;

1) I live in Australia, by purchasing the configurable option will this be compatible with our local LPG bottles?

2) The height of the long-leg option is 35 inches (89 cm). This seems taller than the wok burners in the video, is this the height of the unit with the legs splayed? Are the legs heights configurable?

3) Do both the PF13CL160EI and PF13CL130EI have the main heat settings at 30kBTU and 160kBTU?

4) I intend using the wok burner outside on the patio. I have several 14 inch woks and some experience with high-pressure wok burners. I wish to learn the Bao method. Would you recommend the PF13CL160EI or PF13CL130EI wok burner?

5) Can you tell me the cost of shipping to Australia?

Outdoorstirfry:

  1. We ship international orders with a POL connector for worldwide compatibility.    If you don’t use 1lb propane bottle, you don’t have to order the configurable version.   When you order PF13L160EI or PF13L130EI, we know to use POL connector for you.
  2. Good question. The height for PF13L160EI should be around 31” while a PF13L130EI would be 35”.
  3. The PF13L130EI has two main settings 30 and 130KBTU/Hr. PF13L160EI heat is continuously adjustable.
  4. Both should work for your Bao method.
  5. The shipping cost from USA to Australia by USPS is around USD190.

Let us know any further question.

What is the difference between configurable and non configurable?

Inquiry:

What is the difference between configurable and non configurable?  I did not understand the explanation.

Outdoorstirfry:

The non-configurable version can only work with a regular 20lb propane tank.  The configurable one can work with both 20lbs tank and 1lb propane bottle.

A few questions on received EF13LQN50WG

Customer (EF13LQN50WG):

Hello, I received this item but I am concerned about it. Could you please answer some questions.

1) why is the item picture on the box different than the item inside?

2) what are the words that are crossed out on the box?

3) why has packaging been modified in this way?

Thank you.

Outdoorstirfry:

Hi,

1. The picture we have on the web site has a wind guard in black color. At the time we took the picture the wind guard material was steel and needed painting to prevent from rust. Since then we changed the material to galvanized which does not require painting from rusting.

2. The box was from our vendor. We make our product from there. When we re-use the box, there was some confusion on which fuel the product should use. This is why we cross out those propane words.

3. We typically configure product depending on order. When we configure, we modify the wording to avoid confusion as possible. The stove you received is an EF13LQN50WG natural gas long leg stove with wind guard.

Let us know any further question. Bests.

Difference of burners

Inquiry:

Could you pleace explain products between EasyFlamer EF13SQN50WG vs EasyFlamer EF13SFN50WG suvh as a BTU so on?

I tried to figure out with spec on your web site, but not difference between those two beside a quick connect hose.   Thanks.

Outdoorstirfry:

You are right.  Both stoves have the same maximum BTU/Hr rating.  The difference between these two are:

  1. EF13SQN50WG – goes with a set of quick connectors and a rubber hose.
  2. EF13SFN50WG – goes with a 3/8″ flare male connector. You will need to buy a yellow stainless flexible gas tube from your local hardware store to connect between your gas line and the stove.    Some local city installation code requires this type of installation.

Hope this helps.

PF13S160El hose change question

Customer (PF13S160EI/CarbonSteelWok/CastIronWok):

I have the PF13S160EI can I change the hose from the red rubber hose to this: KIBOW 0~30PSI High Pressure Adjustable Propane Regulator w/8FT SS Braided Hose-Type1 (QCC1) and 3/8 Female Flare Swivel Fitting – with Gauge for Forge/Foundry https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BK35Z3D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2vX4Bb5KQR8FA

I like the look of it better for my outdoor kitchen and also I need a longer hose.

Also is there a video that shows how to operate the electric ignition? Thanks!

Outdoorstirfry:

The hose assembly on amazon has a 3/8″ swivel female fitting.   This can’t fit directly to the valve assembly on the PF13S160EI.   The fitting on the stove valve side is a 3/8″ barb connection.   You will need to make a conversion between a barb and a swivel types.   One way is to cut the hose and plug into the stove valve barb inlet directly.   When use, you will need to turn the regulator at its max pressure.   Also this hose tank connector will limit the gas flow and limit the stove power to 130kBTU/Hr according to its description.

We don’t recall making any video on how to use the electronic ignition.  The valve that does the electronic ignition is on the right hand side.   With everything connected and the propane tank valve open, you should hear hissing sound coming out of the ignition pipe when you slowly turn this right side valve counter clockwise.   You will need to turn it almost 90 degrees in order to hear a clicking sound and see a spark.   Once the ignition pipe ignites and gives a flame toward the main burner, you can turn on the left side valve to ignite the main burner.   As we mentioned in product description, this electronic ignition may not be reliable.  It might take a few tries to ignite.   It is recommended to have a long nose BBQ igniter handy nearby in case it fails to ignite.
