Would a PF13S160 be a better option in my case since 5 or 6 gallons of water would weigh around 50 pounds?

Inquiry:

I was looking into purchasing a PF13S160 or PF13L160. I would be wanting to use it for stir frying in a 14 or 24 inch wok, but I would also want to use it to boil large pots of water (5 or 6 gallons).

I saw in another question you thought the PF13L160 could hold about 35 pounds – was that because of the long legs? Would a PF13S160 be a better option in my case since 5 or 6 gallons of water would weigh around 50 pounds?

Answer:

The shorter the stove legs, the heavier load it can support.   In your case, PF13S160 will be able to hold heavier load than PF13L160.   You will need to find a table to put PF13S160 stove on or just leave it on ground.

Customer feedback:   Just wanted to say I received the burner and just had the chance to try it tonight. It’s awesome! Thank you so much for throwing in the set of legs.
