Why buy your burner?

Inquiry:

I am going to buy a wok burner. I would like to know why I should buy yours over other ones that are half the price, such as the Rambo burner or India Joze for $xxx? Please tell me how your product is supperior.

Outdoorstirfry:

Can you provide a link of this Rambo burner or India Joze for us to study before answering your question?

Inquiry:

Here is the link to India Joze http://www.indiajoze.com/equipment.html

Outdoorstirfry:

Thanks for the link.  From the look, it does look almost the same as our PF13S160 stove.   Here are the differences:

1.  We use difference regulator and hose.  Our regulator PSI setting might be different and our hose is stainless braided.

2.  We provide mesh preventing spider to create blockage inside burner pipe.

3.  Our stove base plate is our own patent design, which makes long leg version possible.

4.  Our stove can be converted to taking gas from 1lb propane bottle.

5.  Our latest burner top plate is held down by two bolts.

6.  We stand behind and provide service to our customers for the last 16 years in business.

Bests

Inquiry:

I would really like for you to earn my business, however it is difficult to justify and $80 just for legs or even $xx just for your patented base plate. How sturdy are the legs once on the burner? They do seem somewhat of a light gauge of metal to be supporting that much weight and not falling over when the chef is tossing food in the wok. Please let me know what your thoughts are on all this.

Outdoorstirfry:

The construction of the stove is designed to handle up to 35lbs of food in the wok.   It is sturdy enough to withstand tossing food.   Tossing is quite popular in cooking show however it is rarely used in home cooking as it requires quite extensive clean up afterward.

Inquiry:

Do you hand hammer the woks as well? Or do you outsource them?

Outdoorstirfry:

Unfortunately we do not know how to hammer out a wok.  We do source woks from our vendor.  In US there is still a region/group of people who hammer much bigger wok.  The much bigger wok is used in Mexican or southern type of cuisine, not stir frying.

We have a post at https://outdoorstirfry.com/?p=1357 offering comparable price to competition.   In this case we can match the $xxx price for our PF13S160 in case you are interested.

Inquiry:

I understand about the woks. I am solely interested Asian cuisine so I will get the wok that you recommend with the appropriate size burner.

I am interested in the PF13L160

Outdoorstirfry:

Our web site shows a difference between a PF13L160 and PF13S160 as $xx.  We are able to extend $xxx for a PF13L160 for you.  If you provide your shipping address, we would be able to estimate the shipping cost for you.

In terms for wok, we only carry ~14” wok.  This is chosen for best wok-ing experience (small with lower weigh, heat up fast, toss is possible).   Among all woks we offer, we recommend the carbon steel type as it has long handle which is easier to maneuver during cooking.

Inquiry:

I will like it shipped to xxxx Kxxxxxx Ave. xxxxx xxxxx, xx xxxxx

I think I will go with the carbon steel wok and tools, or do you recommend I order from the WokShop.com to get the best heavy duty wok and tools?

Outdoorstirfry:

Shipping to xx xxxxx will be $xx.  Since this is a special deal, you can’t use our web site pay button.  Please go to https://www.paypal.com to send $xxx to sales@outdoorstirfry.com.  Once received, we will process the order.  Usually the order will be shipping within two working days after order is placed.

WokShop.com has quite high reputation in offering woks, although I personally do not have experience with.  Order from them and please share your experience with us after a while of usage.

Inquiry:

Excellent, I will do that shortly.

What size wok do you recommend I get? They make anything from 12” to 14” and 16” of course I will get the carbon steel wok like you recommended.

Outdoorstirfry:

Either 14” or 16” will do.  Since the stove is 13”, it might burn the handle of a 12” wok.

Inquiry:

Do you know anything about MANniu burners?

Outdoorstirfry:

I found a few threads from google on this MANniu burner.  It is about the same as PF13L160 stove.  By the way MANniu burner gives its flame, it might violate our patent in USA.

Inquiry:

Alright, well I saw a few videos of it on YouTube and it looks really nice. I suppose I can just paint the cast iron burner from you black if I wanted?

Outdoorstirfry:

There are high temperature black paints from Homedepot, either spray or paint type.

Inquiry:

Great, well that’s what I’ll do then. I will be place the order in the next couple of days.

Inquiry:

I am looking for a photo of the burner I am buying but cant find one. Can you please send me a photo from the top of your burner look down onto it.

I’ve been researching your product along with ones that are similar, and have come to the conclusion that the 100,000 BTU’s is incorrectly stated. Now, please correct me if I’m wrong your burner set up the way it is will only put out 76,800 BTU’s and if you had a copper nozzle it would still only put out 91,200 BTU’s. Please enlighten me if I am mistaken.

Also, if I desired to do so is there any way to change out the burner tip to something like a duck bill burner or multi-jet burner in the future?

Outdoorstirfry:

Attached is a picture of our burner.  PF13L160 Burner 2015-8

We are curious how you derive your numbers.  Can you share your derivations to arrive at 76,800 and 91,200?

The stove body should be able to support any kind of burner if you desire to change.

$$$ is sent

Here is one of the burners I was telling you about that only has 32k btu’s (Sorry outdoorstirfry.com can’t show proprietary picture)

Here is the link to how I arrived at those numbers http://www.thundergroup.com/app/stx.productdetail.asp?did=1413

Please take a look and let me know what your thoughts are.

Outdoorstirfry:

Thanks for a couple links showing your concerns on stove power levels from various sources.   Sometimes without engineering expertise, people will just listen or do a test without correct setting of the stove, thus arriving with a different number than ours.

Attached is our derivation from our vendor’s spec.  Our vendor’s spec is in Chinese.  Nevertheless it shows how we arrive at 160kBTU/Hr rating.

Let us know further question.

Customer:

Alright, I’m excited about using my new burner. Please give me an update when the package is sent.
