Can you recommend any cover/lid to keep this unit safe outside when not in use?

Inquiry:

Hi, I love cooking, specially Chinese style cooking in wok. I am inspired by your product and your videos. I am planning to build an outdoor kitchen and am considering purchasing your natural gas burner for wok cooking in the backyard. I plan to install the unit permanently along with a kitchen sink next to it. My question; Can you recommend any cover/lid to keep this unit safe outside when not in use? I do not think I can let this unit stay outside exposed to the elements. Would appreciate your thoughts or ideas.

Outdoorstirfry:

We have customers doing the same, building a dedicated outdoor kitchen platform.   Here are some thoughts:

  1. We recommend you at least build a cover to prevent direct pouring of rain (snow?) on top of your cooking area;
  2. Once your wok is seasoned and used constantly, it does not rust.  We actually use it as a cover by flipping it upside down and placing it on top of the stove.
  3. There is enough moisture outdoor.  Eventually the stove will rust a bit.  But this does affect its usage.

Thanks much for your prompt response. One  additional question. What is your return policy? It the stove did not fit my outdoor kitchen, can I return it?

Outdoorstirfry:

When our customers built their outdoor kitchens, they make their kitchens to fit the stove.   Nevertheless if you decide to return the stove, please do it within 60 days of the order.
