Is PF13L160 shipped exactly like the picture on the web site?

Inquiry:

if I order the PF13L160 today, will it be identical to the picture of PF13L160 on your website? If not, can you send me a picture of the EXACT unit I will receive ? Thanks.

Outdoorstirfry:

For PF13L160, it will be exactly what you see on the web site.   For other stoves with black wind guard (for example, EF13LQN50WG), we change the wind guard material to galvanized steel and hence don’t paint it black anymore.   PF13L160 has a silver wind guard and is not affected by this change.

Let us know any further question.

Additional Charge Notification For Parcel Monkey Shipment

Parcel Monkey (Shipper):

Following information provided by our courier partner we have made an additional charge of $7.47 to your original payment method. Please find attached the invoice for the additional charge.  Details of the additional charges are shown on your Parcel Monkey account.

Outdoorstirfry to Customer:

This is something we wanted to avoid.   A company comes back to charge more would not win another business.   Their reason of charging more is that the dimension was not correct.  However we have been using the same box in last 16 years.    The dimension can’t be wrong.

Customer (PF13L160, UK):

That seems underhand to levy that charge retrospectively after accepting the shipment from you.  I’m happy to pay the additional fees – you went above and beyond to organise the cheaper shipping in the first place.  I still have the box in case it needs any verification, though I won’t be at home for a week or so to check, but as you mention, you know the sizes of your packages anyway.

Please just let me know and I can Paypal you the additional funds.  P.S. Burner is great – serious power and the US adaptor does fit, it’s a little lose but if tightened up hard then it anchors securely in our UK propane valves.  All the best.

Outdoorstirfry:

Thanks for your good words on the stove.   Outdoorstirfry should pay the lesson in my opinion as you suggested a new way to ship.   There is mostly some unheard risk.  But this is worthwhile.   The best part is that we have a happy customer.

High altitude

Inquiry:

How well will these high pressure propane burners work at high
altitudes? I live at 5900ft.

Outdoorstirfry:

This is an interesting question.   Have you felt any difference in using gas stove at 5900ft as compared with other low elevation level?   High pressure stove has the ability to suck in more air however ratio wise should be the same as on low level elevation.

Inquiry:

Thanks for the quick reply.  Yes there is a difference with lower atmospheric pressure.  Commercial gas ranges need larger orifice for air intake.  Do your products allow to change air intake?

Outdoorstirfry:

Larger orifice will provide more gas under same pressure.   The gas coming out of the orifice will combust with air surrounding it.  Are you using natural gas line or from a tank?   I’m wondering if at your elevation level the gas line going to your house can carry the same pressure as at lower elevation or not.

Our products also use orifice.   Theoretically they should allow you to modify as what you did to commercial gas range.   However larger orifice will only give more gas not air.   Maybe at higher elevation combustion needs richer gas/air ratio.

Outdoorstirfry:

Just notice your order from Amazon.   Thank you.   We should be able to ship Monday tomorrow.

I did some search on internet.   This page (http://www.m109riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90991) does mention the fuel/air ratio would be richer on higher elevation for motor cycles.   This should be similar to stove as well.

Let us know what size orifice you adjust to the PF13L160 for it to run correctly.
