A question occurred to me, can this burner accommodate a 17” wok or is 13” the biggest it can handle?

The burner should be able to handle a 17” wok easily. The burner flamer does spread out wider than 13” when you adjust it to high heat. Typically for small size family (<=4 persons), we recommend 13”~16” wok for optimal cooking.
