Wind guard

Customer (EF13LQN50WG):

I just ordered an EasyFlamer EF13LQN50WG ten minutes ago from your website. I am wondering if it is possible I can have one with wind guard in regular steel in black instead of in galvanized steel with no paint. My order receipt number is xxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx. Thanks!

Outdoorstirfry:

Thank you for your order and your message through our contact form.   The stove will ship out tomorrow.  We no longer offer black painted steel wind guard.   All our current products go with the galvanized steel wind guard as it is more weather proven.  Let us know if you have further question.

Customer:

Thank you for quick responding. I am fine with galvanized steel wind guard. The black one just looks better 😁. One question: even though the one I bought is a quick disconnected one, can I keep it connected all the time after I use it each time? Thanks!!

Outdoorstirfry

Yes you can keep the connection after use.   In our installation guide we teach to install a manual shut off valve before the quick connection socket on the natural pipe line.  You will need to turn off this manual shut-off valve after use to prevent any gas coming through to the stove.   We will send the installation guide along with ship-out email.

Customer

Do I need to buy a manual shut off valve from local hardware store or it comes with the package which you mail to me?

Outdoorstirfry

You will need to buy the turn off valve yourself according to your pipe size.   They are readily available from your local hardware store.

Refurnbished wind guard and pilot light.

Customer (Refurbished PF13L160):

We used the stove for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! We have a lot to learn but the first dishes to come out of the wok were surprisingly good. We found an old wok at the house and a big wok in the storage room for our restaurants.
The heat from cooking cracked a few of the welds but the stove works fine. I will keep an eye on the cracks and let you know if it gets worse. No need to replace it at this point.
Is there a secret to keeping the pilot light lit? The pilot flame goes away each time I shut the oven gas off. I tried low, medium and high pressure on the pilot side and it always goes out. You can hear the pilot gas but the flame disappears the minute the oven ring shuts off…

Outdoorstirfry:

Glad that you were able to find a nice wok.
I believe some of those weld points cracked even before we shipped to you.   We did the repairs and paint.  When we prepared to ship, we noticed those cracks but they did not affect the holdup of the wind guard.  So we just shipped to you.   There should not be a worry because other weld points are strong.
About the pilot,  You would want to hold its flame low during cooking.   Another trick is when you turn off the main burner, turn it off slowly (not in a sudden).   This helps most of the gas inside the burner to be consumed by the main burner and not to create a too much a disturbance to the pilot light.   Also turn the air/fuel mixer wheel more toward the burner can help as well.
Let us know if you have any questions.

A few questions on received EF13LQN50WG

Customer (EF13LQN50WG):

Hello, I received this item but I am concerned about it. Could you please answer some questions.

1) why is the item picture on the box different than the item inside?

2) what are the words that are crossed out on the box?

3) why has packaging been modified in this way?

Thank you.

Outdoorstirfry:

Hi,

1. The picture we have on the web site has a wind guard in black color. At the time we took the picture the wind guard material was steel and needed painting to prevent from rust. Since then we changed the material to galvanized which does not require painting from rusting.

2. The box was from our vendor. We make our product from there. When we re-use the box, there was some confusion on which fuel the product should use. This is why we cross out those propane words.

3. We typically configure product depending on order. When we configure, we modify the wording to avoid confusion as possible. The stove you received is an EF13LQN50WG natural gas long leg stove with wind guard.

Let us know any further question. Bests.

How hot does the cast iron burner get?

Inquiry:

I wish to purchase your PF13S160 model and have a question about how hot the actual cast iron burner gets. I have seen others online build their own carts and i wish to do the same thing with your PF13S160 model for myself. What i dont know is that because of the 160K btu capacity of your models, will this be too hot for the burner to sit in a hole of a stainless steel cart? How hot does the burner get on the outside? Will it overheat a stainless steel cart?

Outdoorstirfry:

Good question.   We have customers built carts or outdoor kitchens to accommodate PF13S160.   In contact with the stainless cart is the stove wind guard.   The wind guard would never has contact with the burner flame and thus should remain cool all the time.

Specifications needed on model# PF13CS130

Inquiry:

Hello, i need the specs on the above model number, etc. how many btu’s does this stove has and can it be used with a descada 22inch disc that’s used to stir fry. Does the 130 means that this stove has 130,000 btu’s used for cooking, you site will not let me add to cart for this item and can this item be used in the United State OF America, please advise. How long will it take this item to arrive in atlanta,ga., please advise, thanks

Outdoorstirfry:

PF13CS130 should be able to produce 130KBTU/Hr. Its power range is 0-130KBTU/Hr adjustable. It has a 13″ wind guard. Flame from a PF13CS130 is largely limited by the 13″ wind guard. So the heating surface is limited to 13″. When you click on the “Add to Cart” button beside the product, it brings you to a paypal page for secure transaction. Outdoorstirfry web site does not store your financial data.

If you choose a PF13CS160 stove, it should heat more surface area than 13″ because of its wok adapter design. Flame from the PF13CS160 burner can touch the bottom of your descada and spread out. PF13CS160 is more desirable than PF13CS130 in your case.

It usually takes 5~6 business days to reach Atlanta GA area.

Let us know any further question.

Inquiry:

Thanks for responding, however i would also like to know in reading an email from one of your customers, you stated you should use a low pressure burner when cooking on a descada disc so that the heat will spread evenly, if that is true, which unit would you suggest me buying and will i need to buy a flat bottom cook ware adapter also, please advise, thanks.

Outdoorstirfry:

Because a descada is a big pan, we would assume cooking on it needs slow action.   That was why we suggested to use low pressure stove.    The problem with low pressure stove is that it burner is about 8” diameter.    So in any case the heat to your 22” descada is only that burner flame area.   The flat cookware adapter does not fit on our low pressure stove or PF13CS160.    Since your Descada is 22” big, it can simply sit on the stove wok adapter stands.   A flat cookware adapter on a PF13CS130 does not give you more flame surface either.   There is no need for a flat cookware adapter in your case.

Hope we answer your question.

Inquiry:

DOES THE STOVE WOK ADAPTER STAND COMES WITH THE PF13CS160 THAT YOU RECOMMENDED ME TO PURCHASE, PLEASE ADVISE, THANKS

Outdoorstirfry:

Yes it is a free moving piece as one part of PF13CS160.
