Inquiry:
Hello, I’m from Portland Oregon and I was interested in buying your wok, I just have a couple questions.
1). If I order the wok with legs, are they easily removeable for transportation and easy to reapply the legs? I normally camp out of my car and I’ll do no legs if they’re inconvenient to remove.
2). Is there a lot of heat that comes out of the bottom of the wok? I normally cook on a plastic table but want to know if I need to upgrade to metal camping table. Do you think a metal baking tray beneath the wok, but on top of a plastic table be an option?
3). I’m thinking of going with the manual ignition, that requires me to use a lighter every time to light it up right? No pilot flame? Then longevity of the manual is more reliable than electric ignition? How long do you think the electric ignition would last? I could technically transition to manual ignition with a lighter if the electric fails?
4). Is rust a big issue with the wok? I live in rainy Oregon and that is a risk. Is there a way of preventing rust?
5). All woks sold today are the newest 6B style?
Outdoorstirfry:
- The long legs can be easily detachable from the base plate of the stove.
- The base plate and short legs of the stove can get warm. Placing the short leg stove directly on top of a plastic tabletop is not advisable. Placing the stove on a metal baking tray should help.
- Manual ignition stove goes with a pilot flame. You only need to light it once. Electronic ignition does not go with any pilot light; it needs to be lit every time.
- Rust can produce yellow flame and create soot to bottom of a wok. Cleaning should restore the stove performance.
- Only PowerFlamer propane 160 plus version goes with a 6B burner.
