Rust by Rain?
Rust on the stove body does not affect the stove functionality. Please try to keep the burner top plate holes out of any water and snow.

Plastic and Rubber parts are most vulnerable in the entire stove to withstand -40C environment.
Can <13″ pan work on the stove?
