Hi or Low? Shipping to UK?

Inquiry:

Hello guys,  I’ve been looking through your great web site as I’m looking for a single wok burner as they are few and far between here in the UK.   Ideally I would like like a burner that might connect to 13kg propane tank – the kind that you might connect to a BBQ (I can attach an European regulator myself but require electronic ignition but NO legs), but I don’t understand the difference between Hi pressure and Low pressure?

I was looking at the PF13CS160EI model, but this might not be correct?  Any advice here?

Can you please also give me an approximate delivery cost to the UK?  Kind regards

Outdoorstirfry:

The PF13CS160EI would be the correct stove based upon your inputs.   Low and high pressure means the pressure of gas when it reaches the burner.   Usually higher pressure gas can deliver more power and heat.

The shipping cost to UK from USA is about USD$xxx.   Let us know any further question.

Inquiry:

Thank you for your information below.   I would like to order the wok burner that I mentioned, but having thought about it with LONG LEGS instead of the table top version please.  Can you base your packing and shipping charge on the address below and send me a PayPal money request for the full amount?

Customer:

Thanks for the leftover postage.  Appreciated.

Just a quick query about the burner.  This is the kind of flame at ‘fully open’ I’m getting with a patio propane tank (low pressure regulator).  Is this the kind of thing you’d expect or should it be more powerful?  Thanks

Outdoorstirfry:

It should be much more powerful.   Aren’t you using the regulator that goes with stove?   The stove accepts high pressure gas.

Customer:

The regulator supplied doesn’t fit UK propane bottles. I’ll see if I can find an equivalent.   I did think it ought to be more powerful.  Thanks

Outdoorstirfry:

We have many customers in UK.  We always supply the POL type connector with the regulator.   The regulator should work.  If the 1lb propane bottle adaptor is on the regulator, it might not fit your 20lbs tank.   Can you send me a picture of the stove regulator and your tank connector?

Customer:

Don’t worry. I’ve got it working. I reconnected your regulator and bought a different bottle, which has solved the problem. I was trying to use it with patio gas and a clip-on regulator, which very much limited the throughput of gas.   It now works a treat.   Rgds.

Outdoorstirfry:

Thanks for letting us know.   Now you have at least equal powerful stove as a restaurant, you should be able to cook restaurant quality food tailored to your own taste.   If you invent any dish, please share with us.   Bests.
