Inquiry: How long does a full 20 lb. can of propane last when turn up to full 16000 BTU?
Outdoorstirfry: If you consider using the top heat power (i.e., 160kBTU/Hr from a PF13L160 stove) to cook every dish, a 20lbs propane tank can only last a few hours. In reality, it is better to consider how much energy each dish needs to be cooked. In this way it matches out about 3~4 months of usage for a tank. Since I’m a personal user of my own stoves and I typically cook one dish a day (about 5~10 minutes), I find my tank last about 4~5 months, i.e., about 3 tanks a year.
