How long will the gas burner (PF13L160) last using the 1lb. propane bottle?

Inquiry

Quick question, for the models that can handle both the 20lb propane tank and the 1lb. portables propane bottle. How long will the gas burner last using the 1lb. propane bottle?

Outdoorstirfry

Our experience is that a bottle is sufficient for one night camping cooking for a family of 4.  To be sure, we usually bring two bottles.

What is the difference between configurable and non configurable?

Inquiry:

What is the difference between configurable and non configurable?  I did not understand the explanation.

Outdoorstirfry:

The non-configurable version can only work with a regular 20lb propane tank.  The configurable one can work with both 20lbs tank and 1lb propane bottle.

Isn’t the PF13CL160 model compatible with a 20lb propane tank?

Customer (PF13CL160):

I have been using the wok for a while now and I absolutely love it. It is just so powerful. I am very happy to have found your product and everyone I demonstrate the wok burner to is very impressed. One question that I have is, isn’t the PF13CL160 model compatible with a 20lb propane tank? Am I missing an adapter or could you recommend one? I enjoy being able to use the 1LB tanks, but they do not last very long!

Outdoorstirfry:

Your regulator side connector looks like below now:

But you can unscrew the 1lb propane bottle adaptor (clockwise) and expose another connector like below:

This connector can go into a 20lb propane bottle.  You tighten it by counter-clockwise.

Wok burner question

Inquiry:

What is the difference between the PF13S130EI stove and the PF13CS130EI stove? What size woks will work on these 13″ burners?  Thanks!

Outdoorstirfry:

PF13S130EI stove will only work with a 20lbs propane tank.   PF13CS130EI stove not only can work with a 20lbs propane tank but also can be configured to work with a throwaway 1lb propane bottle.   The recommended size range for the 13″ stoves is between 13″ to 16″.   Since the flame will travel along the wok bottom surface, wok size much bigger like 22″ should still work fine.   Tilting while cooking with bigger wok size may be needed with big food load.

Hope we answer your questions.  Let us know any further question.  Bests.

Also, do these stoves have an adjustable air vent to adjust fuel/air mixture to allow for differing altitudes? Thanks!

Outdoorstirfry:

Yes they do.
